Garland celebrates National Parks and Recreation Month this July. The Parks and Recreation facilities run by the City of Garland offer ample opportunities for residents to Get Out and Play!
Nearly three in ten U.S. adults do not spend time outside on a daily basis and of those who do, almost half spend less than 30 minutes in the fresh air, according to a survey released by the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA). That is why this July, the City of Garland and NRPA are challenging everyone to get out and visit their community parks and recreation centers during National Parks and Recreation Month.
To encourage everyone in Garland to Get Out and Play, the following free events are being offered this July to celebrate Parks and Recreation Month.
